Loom Rental Policy

Individual weavers interested in creating their own projects can rent a loom on a monthly basis.  The fee is $350 per month, including use of loom and other equipment on-premises.
1. The monthly fee begins on the day that the project planning begins and a loom is assigned.
2. Because a loom is unavailable to anyone else once it is warped, the monthly fee is fixed at $350 regardless of the number of days or hours that a weaver spends at the weaving center.  Therefore, weavers are advised to spend as much time as possible at the weaving center while using a loom.
3. Rental fees are payable each month.

If the warping process begins after the first weaving day of the month and/or a weaver comes off the loom before the end of the month:  The $350 fee is pro-rated based on the number of “weaving days” in the month.  Weaving days are Tuesdays through Fridays.

If the weaving center is closed for more than one weaving day in a month:  The monthly fee will be reduced using the same methodology as above.

Loom Assignment:  Looms are available on a “first come, first served” basis, meaning that a loom is assigned to a weaver when project planning begins on premises.  Looms cannot be reserved in advance.  In the event a weaver has a warp ready but a loom is unavailable, the monthly fee would begin on the day a loom becomes available.

The weaving center reserves the right to remove a warp from a loom if the weaver has not been at the weaving center or in contact for an extended period of time (e.g., 30 calendar days).
